Can you believe Summer is more than half over! Well it is for our kids, who head back to school in less than a MONTH!  With summer brings one of my favorite times of year for the scrapbooking industry.. CHA Summer, the Craft and Hobby trade Show! The show were manufactures release brand new product for our scrapbooking goodness and I have to be honest and say.. it's like being a kid in a candy store! LOL.. I have been working hard all month to secure brand new product being released at CHA.. to have in our August kits! August is going to be a FUN month for sure! CAN YOU WAIT???

PLUS speaking of August.. do  you know that Scarlet Lime is nearly ONE YEAR OLD?? We debuted on September 1st 2007 and had fun giveaways all month long during the month of August.. to work up to it! So this year, we are going to do it again.. FABULOUS giveaways ALL month long.. open to everyone of course.. but we also have some HUGE surprises in store for our subscribers who will be receiving the September kit.. so if you have ever thought about joining.. NOW will be the time! :)

IN this newsletter we have peaks of our upcoming August kits.. some info on some of the fun going on for one year anniversary AND some wonderful inspiration from  Sonda, our card sketch girl, and some of our fabulous Scarlet Lime subscribers!

I had so much fun with the May Project kit, and I was SO excited when Abby Setti sent me pictures of her completed album! ! She did this for her son and I LOVE how it turned out! Love her take on it.. and all the fun techniques she used! I love how the main cover page is all inked with the texture stamp from that month's kit. Wonderful job girl! I am SURE your son will appreciate this for years to come! Look at all the meaningful journaling he has to read! YOU ROCK!

 

 
Wati Basri sent this layout all about her shoes! I LOVE it! I love the freestyle feeling of this layout and how easily it all comes together! Love the use of color photos with black and white.. what a fun look! Thanks so much for sharing it girl!

 
 

 Okay, here is another ADORABLE mini album made using the Main kit from June! Laura Buckingham is the mastermind behind this cute little thing!  Seriously I LOVE the new passport line from Making Memories. because look at how versatile it is! These fun vintage photos are just PERFECT for this paper.. and I Love how easy this and simply Laura's concept is! What an adorable keepsake!  I even love the little detail she added to the page clip! so cute! (and aren't Laura's nails so nice too! LOL.. seriously.. if you saw mine.. .. so jealous girl!)

 

 August IS FULL of warm bright colors.. as we are starting to move into the end of summer and beginning of fall. I saw this new paper from Tinkering Ink and while it's bright and colorful with big bold designs on one side, the opposite sides have smaller prints with the same fun color scheme! I was also able to find some brand new papers from American Crafts that fit right in plus a few others new papers from Luxe.. to make this the perfect, end to summer kit!

I have to say.. THIS stamp is probably one of my FAVORITE stamps EVER! I kind of goes with the summer/butterfly designs in the papers and is a perfect title stamp! You are going to LOVE the goodies we have rounded up for this kit. Brand new embellishments from CHA.. (more peeks to come on those!).. PLUS we have really worked hard this month to find a lot of fun "this and that" products like vintage flower buttons and more! If you have ever thought about joining the Scarlet Lime.. now is the time! We have some fun things planned for the upcoming months, .. that you won't want to miss out on! :)

Our Project Kit for August was again, inspired by the brand new paper line from Tinkering Ink. I love this particular shade of Turquoise and i was SO excited when I found these brand new papers from American Crafts (being released at CHA).. that almost went perfectly with them!

We also have some TOTALLY fun product, brand new from CHA this week).. that will be in this kit.. and a TON of fun this and that products that are so fun to play with. Lots of little "trinkets and stuff! Oh!!! and the  embellishments are to die for!! Plus the stamp is a MUST have for so many different projects! It will come in handy when making the project from this months' kit :)! I can't wait!

 

 

 

 

When I first saw the newly release Noteworthy paper from Making Memories back in May.. I just new I wanted to use it in a kit! This dainty paper fitted so well with the newly released paper from Basic Grey, American Crafts and Daisy D! all released out THIS MONTH!
PLUS you won't believe this kit is only $14.50 with the fun embellishments it includes. The cute little barcode stamps are fun as well!
