Welcome to the Scarlet Lime Newsletter

First off.. MARCH kits are
shipping this week! Can't wait to see what you all do with them! I LOVE
how the main kit looks all packaged.. oh so yummy.. probably my favorite
kit so far..
BUT I think I say that every
time! LOL.. and with April.. I Love what's in store as well! In this
newsletter we have LOTS of wonderful inspiration, special links,
info and MORE sneak peeks of APRIL! It's PACKED Full of information and
inspiration.. PLUS of course or weekly giveaway!
We also have some news on an
upcoming changes to our website and more.. so check it out below!
But before we get started... I
wanted to put the "bug" into your ear.. that in MID April, we will be
having a semi-annual sale on all of our past Exclusive STAMPS from past
kits for Scarlet Lime! Not all stamps from our past kits are
available.. because we don't actually order "extra" stamps for our kits,
but sometimes the way our stamps are produced, we end up with more than
we needed for kits. Sooo.. we will put those up for a semi-annual
sale.. for those who missed out! Watch for news on that.. coming in the
new few weeks!
I hope you all have a wonderful
Monday :)
Hugs to you all!

SO.. last week I had MANY
MANY requests to know how Wilna, who is our guest artist for
March... made this FUN and SUPER easy 9x9 frame album. So
I e-mailed her and within hours, she had instructions to me and
close up pictures of how to put the frame album together! So HUGE
thanks to Wilna for doing this for us! Simply Click on the link
below to view the instructions.
Dress up and Dance Frame/Album instructions..
On another note.. Wilna had a few questions from some ladies about
products and techniques she used on her projects. So I thought it
would be great to post those answers here for any of you that might
be wondering. Also, if anyone else has a question for Wilna.. simply
send me an e-mail at
christy@scarletlime.com and
and at the end of the week we will post the answers to your
questions on the blog :)
Read below for Wilna's
question and answers..
Question:
By the
way, what is your favorite liquid glue or supplies you reach for?
Answer:
I love the tombow liquid glues. It sticks like crazy! You can glue
anything with it. And it dries fast!
Question:
Could you please tell us more about ATC's. I have heard them
mentioned several times on different blogs but i am not all that
sure just what they are or what the "rules" are about making them. I
love the idea of having them up on the wall the way you have got
them.
Answer:
ATC's, or Artist trading Cards
are individual art miniatures which pass hand to hand. Almost like
the artist business card! You can read about the history
here. The good news about
ATC's are that there is no right or wrong! The only "rule" is that
it should be relatively small so that you can carry them around.
Mine are the size of a deck of cards. It's actually a good idea to
use a deck of cards as the base to make your cards from! |

So last week I also posted
this peek of the ATC wall that Wilna did using the Main kit. She
created ATC cards with the kit, then mounted them on the wall with
frames, canvas's etc. and Again.. I many of you e-mailed me wanting
to see close up pictures of those ATC cards, so now you can! We have
posted up-close pictures of the cards Wilna's Guest Artist Gallery..
click on the link below to take you there!!

So I LOVE it when my subscribers send me
pictures of the layouts they have done using the kits from Scarlet
Lime and before I share with you just a few that were sent this past
month, I wanted to tell you some BIG news! We are working on
setting up a Gallery and a Message board hopefully in the next few
months! The Gallery will come first, and then the message board..
but we are hoping by mid summer we will have both available for our
subscribers!
Okay! So our first layout, above was sent to
me by my dear friend Louisa-may from Singapore! She used our January
main kit and I love how she used paper strips over the
transparency from Hambly to create the simply background! Great
technique!
The next layout is from subscriber, Carrie
from
Scrapshanty.. She did a great job with the Round and
Round mini kit from February. This kit is still my favorite kit so
far! So cute with the arrow and the circle and the cluster of small
embellishment on the side. The simply journaling is perfect.. and
love how she covered the chipboard alphabets with paper too! Thanks
for sharing this girl :)
The last layout (below), was created by
subscriber
Megan Aaron. This kit was using our
February main kit. I love how she created the circle as basically
her "background" but it also acts as an embellishment to the page as
well.. so COOL!
thanks ladies for sharing these with me.. and
ALL the wonderful gals who send me the projects and layouts each
month! YOU ROCK! and I always love seeing them in my inbox...

I LOVE interchangeable stamps,
and so I wanted to create a stamp that you could have several
different looks with! This kit comes with 1 main stamp and then 6
stamps that can be used inside of the main stamp.. OR on their own! In
this kit we create a fun chipboard mini album, so I wanted a stamp I
could use on every page, to journal with, but that also had a
different look to it each time.. and so this is what I came up with..
Can't wait to show you what I do with it.. I left the sneak peek
of the papers on here too, so you could remember how fun this kit is
going to be!

|
Here's another small peek of
what's in store for the April mini kit! This fabulous two in one stamp
created by Chrissy Le! These two stamps can be used together.. but
separate as well! and of course the papers for the kit are below it..
This is a FUN little kit!
