Coming Home Project Kit

I LOVE enjoying other peoples creativity.. and when I was at CHA this summer, and stepped into the Chatterbox booth, I was in LOVE with all the cute projects I saw that my dear friend and artist team member, Greta Hammond has created. So I pretty please, asked her to create and design a project kit, for one of our Scarlet Lime kits! She so kindly agreed and I am so glad I did! This project turned out super cute, and has such a "Greta" feel to it. Classy but chic, vintage yet modern.. Just love it girl!  Check out her step by step instructions below!

Don't forget to SHARE your projects with us.. in our NEW member's gallery!!  If you haven't set up an account.. it's SUPER easy and you can either add them to your own gallery.. or there is also a special folder called  "October  kit project" gallery.. for you to post pictures there as well, so they are all in one place (I think you can add them to both!).. so let's see what you create!
Hugs and Enjoy!

Picture 1: Start by laying out the three tags you will be displaying in the frame.

Picture 2: Begin decorating the middle tag, by cutting a small strip of green paper.

Picture 3: Adhere it to the bottom of the tag.

Picture 4: Next add a small photo (about 2 x 2.5) to tag.

Picture 5: Add a small strip of white trim under the photo.

Picture 6: Finish with a blue flower.

..

Picture 7: For the next tag, pop out 3 stemmed flowers from the grunge sheet and find some brown ink.

Note: Each person was sent a different set of Grunge chipboard from the package.. so yours may vary, but this would also work with birds, butterflies, even stems! So get creative and put your own twist on this one :)

Picture 8: Ink all three tags and set aside.

Picture 9: Cut a larger strip of green paper (about 2” wide)

Picture 10: Adhere to tag, leaving a slight border at the bottom.

Picture 11: Add a piece of the thick ivory trim, letting it overlap the sides slightly. Add a staple in the lower left corner.

Picture 12: Adhere inked flowers onto the tag now.

Assemble a small butterfly with die cuts. Use one for the base, then fold the wings up on another butterfly and adhere only along the center onto the base. This will allow the wings to have a bit of texture. Finish it off by adhering a bed in the center.

Picture 14: Add assembled butterfly and two other small butterflies to tag as show.

Picture 15: Finish the tag with small chipboard flower stickers added to the center of the brown flowers.

Picture 16: For the final tag, cut around a corner design in the die cut paper.

Picture 17: Adhere piece to tag.

Picture 18: Add chipboard heart sticker.

Picture 19: Finish by adding some texture with the small green flower.

Picture 20: Now we are ready to start hanging the tags onto the frame. Start with the tag that will go in the middle. Cut about a 3.5 to 4” piece of wire. String it through the hole in the tag. Wrap end around wire just above the top of the tag.

Picture 21: Add beads to the wire.

Picture 22 & 23: Repeat these two step with the other two tags.

Picture 24: Now take the middle tag and position in the middle of the frame opening. You may need to hold it up with your hand at first to make sure it is in position. Then flip the frame over and place a piece of sticky tape on the back at the top.

Picture 25: Next take a ¾” piece of wire and tape it to the bottom of the tag and then to the bottom of the frame. The tag will then be hanging in the middle of the frame.

Picture 26 & 27: Repeat these last two steps with the next tag.

Picture 28 & 29: And again with the last tag.

Then you are all finished!  This would look great hanging on a wall, a mantel, or even an easel..

Thanks again to Greta for putting this together. It's beautiful and I can't wait to create one myself!
