All things Bright  Project Kit

By Christy Tomlinson

These fun ornaments can be used to hang on a tree, put ontop of a gift, or use as a gift themselves! These step by step instructions will help you complete them in no time. Enjoy!

First start with the three scroll chipboard shapes from Maya Road. Cover the back and front of each one, by simply gluing them to the backside of the paper you want to use and cutting out. You can also trace, cut and glue.  Cover all three (back and front)

YOU WILL cover the hole that is there.. we will be creating our own holes.. so the one already punched will be covered with paper.

My first tag was covered with note sheet. You can use whatever you wish!

Next I cut a piece of red paper and glued it to the right side of the tag

Apply rubons over as shown

Add Felt Snowflake

add sticker to top of snowflake center

add picture (mine is about 1.5"x2.5" in size)

then add gems to both sides of rubons (overlapping picture). Next add word fetti to bottom of picture

Next punch a hole at the bottom AND top of the chipboard tag

Place wire through the hole and twist to create a loop to hang your ornament from

Tie ribbon through loop

string wire at bottom of ornament and twist to hold in place, leaving a piece hanging down

string beads and buttons onto the wire, and then twist wire just a bit under the last button to hold in place

next twist remaining wire onto birdhouse loop and tie a ribbon through loop of birdhouse

apply glue and add snowflake glitter pieces to birdhouse as shown

tie a bell to top of the ornament. ALL done!

For the second tag, I covered it with the flower paper and then also place a piece of the black and white paper on the bottom as shown

Then I cut a piece of the fabric and glued it across the middle of the two pieces to cover the seem

Cut off excess if any

place circle sticker from Little Yellow Bicycle onto tag

Then cut off excess as shown

Place another sticker inside of previous sticker as shown and trim

Place the Noel sticker inside

add gems to the stickers randomly

add glitter by applying glue and sprinkle glitter randomly onto tag

Punch holes on top and bottom of tag as like previous tag

Take a straight  pin and put it straight through the bird to create a hole...

Then string wire through the bird, and then wrap around the twig as well. take other side of wire and wrap to other side of twig, so bird is sitting inside the twig as a nest..

Apply glue around twig and apply snowflake glitter

Use straight pin and create another hole directly through top, all the way to bottom of bird. Cut a piece of wire and place it into the hole on the tag, then string it down through the bird, as shown

Then  add buttons and bells to the very bottom of the wire. and secure.

For the top of this tag, use a ribbon and tie it through the hole to hang ornament from as shown

This tag was covered in the stripe patchwork paper from Making Memories. Then I used the Merry Christmas Tag from Little Yellow Bicycle and placed it across the top of the tag as shown.

Then I added rubons from Basic Grey

and added the gems that go with the rubons on top as shown

Next glue a petaloo  flower right under tag on right side

glue crocheted flower on top red flower

next add a chipboard button from Making Memories on top

then to finish it off, add a smaller chipboard button and a gem as shown

For the bottom, loop wire and string beads and a felt snowflake and then twist as shown, then place the tin snowflake at the bottom.

Use ribbon for the top of the ornament to hang.

Enjoy these ornaments! If you have 12x12 chipboard, you can also cut and trace more pieces using the Maya Road chipboard as a template and create even more of these cute little ornaments!
