Cherished One Mini Album Tutorial

By Christy Tomlinson

Want something fun little project to do with your Pumpkin Spice October Main kit?

This fast and easy 6x6 mini album is fun and so doable! The only extra you will need to create this kit is jump rings (or try using ribbons to tie it together) and a little bit of creativity!

Here is a short tutorial on how to get the looks I created below
!

The "pages" of this book were made using cut 6x6 pieces of patterned paper from the October Main kit. I used several different paper, but feel free to get creative and use your own! I started with Jillibean Text paper for my cover (as shown above).

The next paper I used with the blue Ledger Paper from Teresa Collins and BEFORE you cut it up! make sure you cut it so that the backside of it follows the NEXT set of pages below (see the black friendship page below)

This fun paper ribbon technique was done using a strip of patterned paper and then folding it back and forth like a fan, to create a "ruffled" look. Then I stapled it to the page and added some of the textured accent die cuts from SEI, Rubons and some buttons.

This pocket was So easy to make. I simply used the Die-cut accents again from SEI and layered them on top of each other, using pop dots. Then I took strips of paper I had written on and tucked them inside. Perfect for a journaling pocket!

Now this page was SUPER easy.. its actually the Backside of the paper from Teresa Collins (we showed it as the blue/ledger paper (which was show just above) ). On the back side it has two large strips with saying in them. So I simply cut the page right above the friendship word (the pages won't be quit even).. and decorated both pages with a few buttons and metal accents!

This page I decorated by hand cutting out one of the flowers on the Bo Bunny Paper. Then I layered it with patterned papers, and also the letter "f" from the American Crafts Thickers. I hand cut out a little bird from the Scribble Scrabble Paper and put gems along the Kraft paper for little details.

I also used one of the tags from the SEI diecut accents and simply punched a whole in it and strung it in-between these two pages, as a fun interactive page.

For this pages, I layered patterned paper, stickers and  trim for my base. Next I place gems on some of the flowers on my trim. Then used one of  the metal tags from SEI and my brown felt flower, to create a focal point for the page.

Last page I got creative and used a little "ink" to decorate my page with..

as you can see in this picture, I had a white background, so I used orange ink and "painted" my two strips connecting to teach other in the corner of my page.

Then I added stickers from SEI along with the Metal tags and some flowers. can't wait to fill it all in with pictures and Journaling!

Here's an up-close picture of the cover, again just lots of layering going on.. Paper, diecut accents, tulle, flowers, metal embellishments and I EVEN used my fabric as a background! I also used the velvety rubons, and decorated them with the pearl gems..

love the soft look it created!
Hope this gave you a little bit of inspiration!
