Scarlet Lime Card Sketch by Cassonda

Love how she made the butterfly come to life on this card, by inking it white, then adding the gold rubons over the top. So beautiful!

She also use a fun masking technique to create the ornate design border you see behind the buttons and butterflies. Here is some more instructions on how do to that

masking technique:

1. stamp image on scrap paper or a post-it note.

2. carefully cut out the parts you want to show up when you stamp your image on your project.  this will become your mask.  for mine, I ONLY wanted the ornate design to be stamped.

3. ink up your stamp

4. place your mask on your project and place your inked stamp on top making sure to line it up.  press.

5. lift to see your stamped image.

This card is full of layers and textures. Cassonda used little details like sewing, hole punching, stamping, pop dots and more to create this dang cute card! Sometimes we don't also think layers when creating cards, because of the bulk, but as you can see here, there are lot of layers and not too much bulk! So cute girl :)
